Trisha Yearwood reflects on "Catspat" with Faith Hill

Trisha Yearwood's "catspat" with Faith Hill back in the late 90's is the stuff of Nashville urban legend. It all started after the two moved to Nashville back in the late 80's. Yearwood and Hills hubby Tim Mcgraw were close friend's at the time and it was Yearwood who introduced them. Later Yearwood divulged that she was hoping her friendship with Mcgraw would lead to something more, but after meeting the tall,blonde and beautiful Hill the rest as they say is history.
Fast forward to 1999 when the two women were backstage at the ACM award's and Yearwood overhears Hill making a derogatory comment about the full-figured Yearwood's cleavage baring outfit and fires back "Thats pretty big talk from a girl who still hasn't made it out of a training bra". Hill's response was less witty but equally unflattering "Oh go have another donut fat a**"
Adding insult to injury several month's later Yearwood who was set to record "Breathe" was informed by her record label that the song had been given to Hill. Shortly after Yearwood blasted Warner brother's record's claiming that the reason the song was given to Hill was because no one wanted to see a "fat girl" rolling around in the desert on a bed sheet. (See video below) Nothing against big girl's but most wont argue the slender Hill was much better suited for that video
After over 10 years of not speaking Yearwood and Hill reportedly patched thing's up over the summer. In a recent interview with "Country Weekly" Yearwood put thing's in perspective.
"I had a crush on Tim but Tim was infatuated with Faith. My record label shunned me in favor of Faith. Faith had two kid's and was a size 4. I had no kid's and was a size 14. Of course I was bitter! What woman wouldnt be!" Yearwood sad with a laugh.
Trisha might have plenty to be jealous about but you have got to admit the "training bra" comment was priceless.

Source's say Shania Twain still in the Running for Idol Judge slot

Canada’s country gal Shania Twain may be the newest judge for “American Idol.”

With divalicious Jennifer Lopez being ditched as a possible judge because of her outlandish demands to Fox producers, every songbird in Hollywood has proclaimed interest in taking over a seat at the judges’ table.

“They’ve been after her ever since she was a mentor on the show last season,” a source told People.com yesterday. “And they haven’t given up.”

Shania, you may remember, stepped in for the Chicago auditions last season and won the hearts of many of the “Idol” types. She also mentored the contestants in April.

“Shania’s a huge fan of the show,and she had a great time as a mentor,” the source told People.com. The fact that Twain's predominantly "feminine" fanbase is comprised of over 80% women between the ages of 30 and 55 "sweeten's the pie" as well for the Canadian songstress.

And then there’s Mariah Carey, whose hubby Nick Cannon, host of “America’s Got Talent,” reports has her eyes set on the judges’ table.

“She talks about it,” Cannon told the Hollywood Reporter . “She says ‘I would love to do that.’ She is one of the greatest singers of our time; she would be great.”

Carey also command's a somewhat higher male audience than Twain. 28% percent of Carey's fanbase is male compared to just 17% for Twain. Although that might not be perceived as an advantage considering Idol's viewership is predominantly female. Either way Carey is still considered at least a "Darkhorse" in the running.

Until her demands make J.Lo’s look like a grocery list.

Which brings us to chatty Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, who has been telling everyone - except his bandmates - he’s got the gig sitting next to Randy Jackson .

When asked by a New York Post reporter if he could be tough on a young singer, the Boston Bad Boy said: “I’m very judgmental of the guys in the band. I know when to say ‘Don’t bore us - get to the chorus!’ and I think I’d bring credibility to that forum if I was asked to do it.”
